Discover Scuba Diving Phi Phi

PADI Discover Scuba Diving is an incredible opportunity for anyone looking to explore Phi Phi Island’s underwater world without needing certification. This program offers a safe, fun experience, closely supervised by an experienced PADI Professional. It is customized to each individual according to your comfort level and swimming ability.

If you have tried diving before, feel confident in the water, and believe you can handle the skills training in open water, you can book this exciting Ocean Dive option and head directly to the dive site!

Discover Scuba eLearning

First off, we are proud to be the first and only PADI Centre on the island offering the PADI Discover Scuba eLearning program. With just a quick scan of a QR code, you can kickstart your adventure on the PADI Training app. This personal mini course takes only about 20 minutes to complete, making it a convenient and engaging way to prepare for your diving experience.

Small Groups

We only allow two students to dive with an instructor for increased safety and supervision. This way we can tailor the dive program to your individual needs.

Your instructor will meet you shortly before departure for your Discover Scuba Dive briefing. They will review what you learned on the Discover Scuba app the day before, sharing additional tips, safety features, and insights about the marine life you might encounter during your dive!

We take it at your pace!

Your boat trip to the stunning marine park is just 30 minutes away, where you’ll roll into the tropical waters to get comfortable with your scuba gear and practice breathing at the surface.

Next, you will practice essential skills to build your confidence before going on the dive, including equalizing, regulator and mask clearing. These initial exercises are conducted one-on-one just beneath the surface on a safety line, ensuring personalized attention and guidance.

Then, you’ll embark on a shallow guided tour of the breathtaking coral reefs, reaching a maximum depth of 12 meters. Keep an eye out for the incredible marine life you might encounter, including clownfish, sea turtles, and harmless sharks!

Optional Pool Training

Pool Schedule – 9am – 10am / 10am – 11am

We are lucky to be the only dive centre with a pool for diver training. The pool experience for Discover Scuba Diving is an excellent choice because it’s better for those who are a little nervous or not strong swimmers! Besides, it gives you more time to settle your nerves and get used to the equipment, which means you can fully enjoy your ocean dives!

You will complete those regulator and mask skills in our pool and practice breathing, swimming and communication in a comfortable, safe, shallow environment!

Nobody who chooses the pool option regrets it – It is a great way to start your diving adventure!

After completing pool training, we will take you for two dives in the beautiful national marine park that same afternoon or the following morning!

Get Certified!

Discover Scuba Diving is not a certification, however if you love it you don’t have to stop. For example you can go out again. Similarly, you can continue training to become a certified Scuba Diver or fully certified Open Water Diver!

Dive Medical Check

Your safety is our priority. All divers MUST have medical clearance to dive if they answer YES to certain medical issues listed on the standard diving medical.

Certain medical conditions may prevent you from scuba diving for example asthma and heart conditions. If you are currently taking any medications, or are unsure about your fitness to dive, you must inform us during registration.

Please have a look at the Diving Medical Questionnaire.

Therefore, any answers YES to the questions listed therefore you must print out the RSTC Medical form and take it to your physician prior to coming to Thailand.

We have a clinic on the island but it is not guaranteed that the doctor will sign off on your condition or medication.

In conclusion, you must be cleared for diving if you answer YES to anything on there.

National Park fees

NATIONAL PARK FEES are not included in trip prices.

Please bring cash to the pier on the day of diving to pay National Park Rangers directly and keep your ticket in case you wish to visit Maya Beach or dive the following day.
