Wreck Diver Specialty Course

For many divers, a shipwreck is the most exciting thing to see underwater.

Minimum Age: 15 Years Old

Prerequisites: PADI Adventure Diver (or qualifying rating)

Includes: 3 Training Dives + 1 Fun Dive

Duration: 2 Days if you already have ‘Adventure Wreck Dive’ logged

To begin, you will learn the history of the ship before exploring underwater. Coral and marine life are quickly attracted to wrecks because they act as an artificial reefs therefore you never know what you will see! Learning how to dive wrecks properly is key to ensuring a safe and fun dive because there are important techniques and skills which you learn during your PADI Specialty Course.

. During the PADI Specialty Course training dives you will learn techniques for diving and penetrating a wreck. We will work on skills such as buoyancy, navigation, mapping and penetration techniques. Finally on the fourth dive you will go inside the wreck to complete the course if conditions allow.

Your wreck dives are done at the local wreck on Phi Phi National Marine Park.

Have you already completed your Adventure Wreck Dive? If not, don’t worry because you can begin your Wreck specialty with your ‘Adventure Wreck’ dive which means you get a SIX dive package for your Wreck PADI Specialty Course! (Extra Day 3,700 THB)

You can try it first as an Adventure Dive in case you are not sure, which is a one dive taster and still counts as one of your dives for the PADI Specialty Course. This adventure dive will therefore count as your five dives required for your PADI Advanced Open Water Course.
